And we have rescheduled the 10-session playwriting course with playwright and screenwriter Paul Kalburgi to start on Tuesday, August 7. We will also be offering a Sound and Lighting Workshop with Glen Mortensen, a leading expert in his field, as well as a half-day unarmed combat workshop with stunt professional Peter Hassall in the next few months. Leading voice coach and teacher Kirstie O’Sullivan is staging a vocal workshop with an emphasis on Shakespeare in May 2023. The subjects of these mainly weekend workshops have included acting, directing, vocal techniques, Shakespeare, lighting, costume design and set design, and fees have been kept affordable thanks to the wonderful support of Creative Communities/Auckland Council. Some of the biggest and most illustrious names in New Zealand theatre have been sharing their skills through professional workshops at Howick Little Theatre in the past 22 years.
